As the year closes, the team at the Bay of Plenty Garden and Art Festival are looking forward to 2022 when the next festival will be held towards the end of the year.

“Merry Christmas to one and all from everyone at the Bay of Plenty Garden and Art Festival,” says festival director Marc Anderson.

“With all the upheaval of the past couple of years, this time of year is particularly special. A time to relax, enjoy summer with family and friends and be in the moment.”

Marc says the BOP Garden and Art Festival will be back again in 2022 running from November 17 -22.

“We are very much looking forward to hosting over 65 wonderful garden and art stops on the garden and art trail, thirty per cent of which are new to the 2022 festival,” says Marc.

“And we are especially excited to introduce our Art Studio Trail. With Bloom in the Bay, the festival hub going full swing as well, there will be something for everyone.”

The Bay of Plenty Garden & Art Festival is a finalist in the Event Excellence Award of the 2022 TECT Community Awards which will be announced at Baycourt Community and Arts Centre on March 17, 2022.

This month the BOP Garden & Art Festival Facebook page has been featuring Christmas lilies, holly, pohutakawa, kowhai and summer favourite the delicious strawberry, as well as ivy plants that can be woven into Christmas wreaths.

More information about next year’s festival will be available in the early months of 2022.

“We wish you all the very best for the festive season, be safe, be happy and have lots of fun,” says Marc.
