Two Lotto players win $500,000
Two lucky Lotto players will be celebrating after each winning $500,000 with Lotto First Division in tonight’s Lotto draw.
The winning tickets were sold at Pak n Save Papamoa in Papamoa and on MyLotto to a player from Auckland.
Four other Bay of Plenty winners are also celebrating an $18,059 win after striking second division on the weekend.
The winning tickets were purchased from Welcome Bay Foodmarket, MyLotto Bay of Plenty and two tickets were bought at Paper Plus Central in Rotorua.
"Powerball was not struck on Saturday and has rolled over to Wednesday night, where the jackpot will be $23 million," says a Lotto spokesperson.
"Meanwhile, one lucky Strike player will also be celebrating after winning $200,000 with Strike Four. The winning Strike ticket was sold on MyLotto to a player from Taupo.
"Auckland is currently at Alert Level 3. Lotto NZ counters in Auckland that are located in stores that offer essential services are allowed to open at Alert Level 3 should they choose to.
"The rest of the country is currently at Alert Level 2. Lotto NZ counters outside the Auckland region are open and will continue to follow the Government’s health and safety guidelines.
"The live Lotto draws are unable to take place while Auckland remains in Alert Level 3. During this time, we will continue using computer generated draws for Lotto, Powerball, and Strike. "
