Investigation after baby sustains serious injuries

An investigation is underway to determine how a four-month-old baby sustained a serious injury in Hamilton last month.

The baby boy was taken by ambulance to Waikato Hospital on June 19 in a critical condition.

"He suffered a significant head injury which is being treated as unexplained while Police work to establish the cause," says Detective Inspector Daryl Smith.

"He is now in a stable condition."

There are times when the protection of the law should be withdrawn. Imprisonment in solitary confinement until the truth is reached should be an option in some cases. Our kids are even being threatened with violence if they speak up in our schools. So honesty is a rare commodity and abuse goes unpunished.
