Man due in court tomorrow following burglary

A man is due to appear in court on Monday following his arrest for aggravated burglary, assault and unlawful possession of an air gun in Papamoa.

Police launched an investigation following a report of a burglary on Redditch Place early Friday morning.

Police received the report of the burglary around 4.40am on May 28.

“A 20-year-old man was arrested in Papamoa today in relation to this incident,” says a Police spokesperson.

“He is due to appear in Tauranga District Court tomorrow charged at this stage with aggravated burglary, unlawful possession of an air gun, and assault.

“A number of items that had been reported stolen have been recovered.”
