Serious crash under investigation

Investigations are underway into the cause of a serious crash in Te Puke.

Emergency services were called to the two-car crash on Te Puke Highway just before 6pm.

A police spokesperson says early indications are that one person has suffered serious injuries.

The road was closed while emergency services examined the scene.

Police say the road was re-opened around 7.10pm.

Anyone with information about the crash, and that haven’t already spoken with police, can contact their nearest police station.

Alternatively, information can be called in anonymously via the Crimestoppers 0800 555 111 line.

Non-emergency information can be phoned into the police’s 105 number.
