Cabinet will today decide whether to lift Auckland out of the level 3 lockdown and the rest of the country out of level 2 after a second straight day of no new COVID cases in the community.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern is expected to make the announcement at 4.30pm.

The lockdown has seen businesses unable to operate and most school children stuck at home.

Authorities are yet to discover how the family of three became infected with the virus, and until that's been established there remains a possibility that there are undetected cases of COVID-19 circulating in the community.

Meanwhile, organisers are collectively crossing their fingers and toes their events over the next few weeks can go ahead.

A government that is living on the international plaudits for managing a virus and thereby evading any focused scrutiny of their major failings in most other areas. I guess failings is what you get when you value diversity box-ticking over talented managers to run an international business operation. But, maybe we will be getting more international plaudits for having the most diverse/inclusive government in the world.... Wouldn’t that be fantastic, as it would surely take the attention away from a catastrophic recession and worse to come with the attacks on our primary industries from within and abroad as we focus on reducing our 0.18% contribution to climate change to an unattainable 0%...

Smart what Aussie does to rid themselves of riff raff. Not very socially responsible. But I’ll give them credit where it’s due. Politically. Smart political move removing citizenship making her our problem.. The tie debate is not about ties btw Slim as I’m sure you already know. It is about forcing maori to become more like Pakeha if they expect/want to engage in parliament. Who decided that business attire means dressing up like a white person?

Hahaha

I love that petulant schoolgirl scowl at the Aussies because they had the sense to strip the citizenship of terrorists, while our useless MPs debate wearing ties in parliament. Maybe they should actually do some work rather than just pontificating to the cameras with their nodding donkeys stood behind them.
