A new pathway will be put into place in Omokoroa next month.

Construction of the new footpath along the frontage of Western Avenue Reserve in Omokoroa starts in mid-February and will be completed by the end of March.

"The 265m path will connect the playground, toilet facility and pavilion to make access easier for all reserve users and customers to the new pavilion and library," says a Western Bay of Plenty District Council spokesperson.

"Western Bay of Plenty District Council requests that people stay clear of the construction area.

"The public toilets and sports fields will remain open throughout the construction."
