Serious crash on SH5

Police are responding to a single-vehicle serious crash on State Highway 5 at Iwitahi.

A police spokesperson says the vehicle was towing an empty horse float when it crashed into a bank about 1.30pm.

"One person has sustained serious injuries." 

The road is down to one lane and the Serious Crash Unit is attending.
