SunLive Woman accused of threatening BOP Police with gun

A woman is facing charges after allegedly pointing a gun at police, stealing a police car, and then crashing it in the Bay of Plenty.
A police spokesperson says officers were approached by the woman in Whakarewarewa, near Rotorua, who pointed a gun at them about 9pm on Sunday.
Policed says she then took their car and crashed it shortly afterwards, in Wahiao Drive.
"The woman was arrested and taken into custody.
"No one was injured and the gun has been recovered."
