Beef mince being recalled by Tauranga supermarket

Pak’n Save Tauriko is recalling a specific batch of its Pak’n Save Tauriko brand NZ Beef Mince.

In a recall statement on the MPI website, a recall notice says the product may contain foreign matter (pieces of white latex).

Customers are asked to check the date mark on the product packaging.

The recall affects beef mince sold at Pak’n Save Tauriko brand NZ Beef Mince (various weights of approximately 1kg), with a best before date of December 4, 2020.

"Affected product should not be consumed. There have been no reports of associated injury, however, if you have consumed any of this product and have any concerns about your health, seek medical advice.

"Customers should return the products to Pak’n Save Tauriko, Tauranga for a full refund.

"This recall does not affect any other Pak’n Save brand products."

Wasteful

A bit of latex never hurt anybody. Fish are full of plastic and nobody is taking those off the menu. There is no way it is more harmful than what’s in sausages.
