One dead after SH3 crash

One person has died following a two-vehicle crash on Otorohanga Road .

Police were called to the State Highway 3 crash at about 6.30pm.

The road is expected to remain closed for some time while the Serious Crash Unit examines the scene, says a police spokesperson.

"Diversions are in place and motorists should avoid the area."
