Road now clear following crash on SH29

12.40pm Update:  The road is now clear following an earlier crash on SH29 at the intersection with Cambridge Rd.

Motorists are advised to expect delays as congestion eases in the area.

12.20pm Update: Due to a two-car crash on State Highway H29 at the intersection with Cambridge Rd, a stop/go is in place.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and pass the scene with care.

Earlier, 11.25am:

There has been a two-car collision near the intersection of Cambridge Rd and State Highway 29 this morning.

Police advise they were notified of the collision on Cambridge Rd at 11.09am.

There are no reported injuries. Emergency services are at the scene.

Police advise that two lanes are currently blocked.

A caller to SunLive says traffic is backed up to Redwood Lane and up SH 29 towards the Waikato on the lower Kaimai Range.

Another Intersection

in the BOP that is a death trap waiting to happen. SH29 - thousands of trucks (and cars) BOTH ways 24/7 !!! And then thousands of cars and trucks trying to exit Cambridge Road every day!! onto SH29. Its either TRAFFIC LIGHTS or a ROUNDABOUT ------- OR MORE DEATHS to come !!!
