A lucky Lotto player from Waihi is celebrating after winning $1 million with Lotto First Division in Saturday's live Lotto draw.

The winning ticket was sold at Paper Plus Waihi & Toyworld in Waihi.

Powerball was not struck this evening and has rolled over to Wednesday night, where the jackpot will be $5 million.

A statement issued by Lotto NZ says in last night's ‘Strike Must Be Won Draw’, the jackpot was not won by a single ticket and therefore rolled down to Division two.

“The prize was shared by 103 players, who each take home $ 10,363. The winning stores and locations will be available on MyLotto on Monday.

“Anyone who bought their ticket from the above stores should check their ticket at any Lotto outlet, online at mylotto.co.nz or through the Lotto NZ App.”

Asthma NZ nurses across the country are helping Kiwis struggling with asthma during the COVID-19 pandemic.

100 per cent of Lotto NZ's profits go to over 3,000 great causes around New Zealand.

“Every time you play a Lotto NZ game, you’re a Kiwi helping other Kiwis.”
