Only a few days left to complete CBOP survey

Creative Bay of Plenty are assessing the feasibility of an Arts for Prescription programme in the Western Bay of Plenty

Creative Bay of Plenty’s survey about arts for health and well-being is closing soon.

The survey is part of a project commissioned by Creative Bay of Plenty – CBOP - to assess the feasibility of an Arts for Prescription programme in the Western Bay of Plenty.

The contribution from people who complete the online survey will complement other research and help CBOP to assess the current position of arts for health and wellbeing and the feasibility of a regional programme.

The survey should take no more than 15 minutes.

Questions include whether you are involved in the arts in the Western Bay of Plenty and whether you have heard of the Green Prescription programme.

A Green Prescription – GRx - is a health professional’s written advice to a patient to be physically active, as part of the patient’s health management.

An Arts for Prescription scheme helps people in their recovery through creativity and increasing social engagement. There is a referral process and creative activities take place in the community facilitated by artists rather than therapists. Arts prescriptions can be specific, like singing for people with asthma; or general, where arts activities can assist with mental health, longer-term health conditions, self-confidence and social connectedness.

CBOP are wanting people to complete the survey, giving their opinions on some assumptions about the Arts for Prescription concept.

Your answers will be kept confidential and will only be used by CBOP and its contracted researchers to inform the study.

The survey can be found here
