What’s On: Bay Dreams and horse races

Good morning SunLive readers, I hope you had a great first day of 2020 and are set to make day two even better!

There are so many things going on around the Bay today, so there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Looking at the weather for today, it is set to be yet another fine day with some south-westerlies.

The high is set to be 29 degrees with a low of 18 degrees.

Happening today at the Trustpower Baypark Stadium is Bay Dreams with gates opening at 11am with the first performance starting at 12pm going all the way through to around 10pm.

More than 30,000 people are expected to attend the festival and road closures around the stadium are in place.

Also taking place today is the Interislander Summer Festival at the Tauranga racecourse.

The day kicks off at 10.30am with general admission costing $10.

There will be live music, food and drink, free kids entry and entertainment, and exciting racing action.
