Highway open after serious truck crash
State Highway 29 is now open after being closed for several hours following a truck crash.
The highway was closed around 3.30pm on Monday, when a two trucks crashed, causing a truck and trailer unit to roll on its side in the Lower Kaimai area.
The road was closed for several hours and was re-opened around 11.30pm.
A crane had to be brought in to right the crashed truck and remove it from the highway.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
