What’s on today?
The Papamoa Lions Club Market is happening today from 8am – 12noon in Alice Lane, off Parton Rd. Come and get some fresh produce and bargains.
Santa Claus and Mrs Claus are visiting the Mount Maunganui Sunday Market from 10am - 2pm.
There’s also a Christmas celebration at Mount Maunganui this evening from 7 – 8pm at the concrete park ‘Te Papa o Nga Manu Porotakataka – the old Phoenix carpark, 137 Maunganui Rd. A band will be playing and everyone is encouraged to join in and sing Christmas carols. This ‘Sunday Sounds Great’ pop up church celebration is hosted by the Mount Baptist Church.
Come along to Christmas Carols on the Tauranga waterfront this evening from 5.30 – 6.30pm. Bring your picnic blanket and come and sing at this free family friendly event.
A carol service is also being held today from 6.30pm – 8pm at St Georges Church in Gate Pa. The service includes readings about Christmas, carols and a Christmas film which has been made by the children of the parish. A delicious supper will be served afterwards to everyone who attends. More here
Next to Coronation Park is the Pepi Toot train which will be out about today from 10am – 2pm with 30 minute rides, leaving from Salisbury Ave outside the Spongedrop Cafe. All aboard! Toot! Toot!
Katikati has a Santa’s Christmas Grotto at the Katikati Art Junction, so come along and check out Santa’s workshop and other wonderland scenes, as well as meeting Santa himself. More here

Come and see the Heart of Christmas Wearable Art Exhibition in Downtown Tauranga at the Goddard’s Shopping Centre. There are ten new creations on display as well as designs from the 2018 exhibition. The exhibition runs until Christmas Eve.

Come check out the opening of Clare Birch’s first solo exhibition ‘PrettyUgly’ at The Incubator today at 4.30pm.
