Three cruise ships currently in port
The 2019/2020 cruise ship season is well underway.
Today, there are three cruise ships scheduled to make their way into Tauranga port, leaving this afternoon.
The Majestic Princess, Caledonian Sky, and Noordam ships are currently in port leaving at 5.15pm, 7pm, and 4.45pm respectively.
The next cruise ships will be in port on Sunday, November 24, arriving at 6.15 and 7am with the ships leaving at 10pm and 5.45pm.
This cruise ship season, Tourism Bay of Plenty chief executive Kristin Dunne says the region will welcome more than 300,000 passengers and crew from 112 ships including 25 double ship days, one triple ship day, and four overnight stays.
Last season, Tauranga had the second-largest total spending by port. In the year ended June 2019, cruise activity spending in Tauranga totalled $90.3 million.
