Te Puke resident to appear in court
A 21-year-old Te Puke man will appear in the Tauranga District Court on July 19 following an investigation into the death of a 56-year-old man in a Te Puke park on May 11.
Detective Senior Sergeant Greg Turner says the man has been charged with reckless driving causing death.
Senior Sergeant Turner would like to acknowledge the assistance provided by the Te Puke public and business community in resolving the matter.
Following the incident, police say the man who was aged in his 50s, was found dead behind the council buildings in Te Puke at around 4pm on Saturday, May 11.
