Jet ski injury at Kaituna River mouth
A police spokesperson says a person was reported in trouble on a jet ski at the mouth of the Kaituna River near Maketu on Saturday.
The incident happened about 1.45pm on Saturday afternoon near the Kaituna Cut Reserve.
“Coastguard were able to bring two people to shore.
“One person appeared uninjured and another had some serious leg injuries – possible fractures.”
A St John’s ambulance was called to the scene and the person with moderate injuries taken to Tauranga Hospital.
