The weather forecast is morning low cloud clearing to fine late. There should be cloud again tonight with northerlies developing. It’s a one-clothing layer day with an expected high of 19 degrees, and an overnight low of 12 degrees.
On Sunday May 12 we’re expecting rain developing in the morning, and heavy at times, with northerlies becoming stronger during the day.
A few early showers are expected on Monday morning, with the remainder of the week expected to be mainly fine.

Moggies Market in Katikati
The Lions Club of Katikati is hosting the Moggies Market at the Katikati Memorial Hall this morning from 8am – 12noon.
The University of Waikato are holding a Community Day at their Tauranga Campus today from 10am – 2pm. The doors to the brand new Durham St campus will be opened for the community to come in and have a look around. There will be guided tours every hour, food trucks on site, entertainment and giveaways. Check out more here

Today in Te Puke, The Charitable Stage Co will be having a grand opening of their new dance studio Fusion Studio, in the old Girl Guides Hut on Cameron Rd, next to the netball courts. The open day runs from 12pm – 4pm. Come and meet the tutors and try out some free classes in dance, acrobatics, acting, singing and music. More here

Doreen McNeill’s exhibition ‘XCBition’ is running at The Incubator Creative Hub until May 15, and celebrates the work of renowned local artist Doreen McNeill on her 90th birthday. Check out the exhibition here.
Come and view the ‘Finding Beauty’ Exhibition which includes five winning images from the 2019 Hitachi City Art Exhibition, a profile of Tauranga’s sister city relationship, a digital display of hundreds of this year’s entries from the Trustpower Photographic Exhibition and information storyboards profiling ‘The power of an image – a history of photojournalism.’ The exhibition is located within the Pacific Toyota Container at Our Place Tauranga on Willow St.
