Carpark resealing to cause disruption

Carpark resealing that is set to take place in the Western Bay of Plenty District Council’s recreation reserves and will cause some disruption.

The resealing starts in May and a brief closure of the carparks will take place while the work is underway.

In a statement issued by the Western Bay of Plenty District Council, it says this work is part of council’s regular re-sealing programme to ensure the parking areas are up to an acceptable standard.

“The programme will include repairs to the sealed surfaces of some carparks as well total re-sealing of those that need more work.

“The car parks will be closed for up to two days at a time while the work is being done.”

The following reserves will be included in the programme:

Waihi Beach Surf Club and North End carpark.

Anzac Bay – Boat Ramp Area.

Tuapiro Reserve.

MacMillan Reserve.

Haiku Park.

Hunters Reserve.

Pahioa Reserve.

Kaiate Falls Reserve.

The work is scheduled from May 1 2019, subject to weather, and is likely to take up to two months to complete.

The council apologises for any inconvenience.
