Christmas exhibition opens in Tauranga
A magical Christmas Exhibition has opened in the city centre, like no other.
Santa’s Wonderland – The Christmas Exhibition has been created by Goddard’s Centre and Downtown Tauranga and offers a veritable feast of all things Christmas.
The exhibition features Santa’s float from the Trustpower Christmas Parade at the weekend, life sized Reindeer, Christmas Displays, Digital displays and videos, games, a Christmas craft making table for the kids, Santa will be there and there’s even snow and snowballs!
Downtown Tauranga Spokesperson Sally Cooke says the Christmas exhibition is believed to be the largest single display the city centre has seen.
"We wanted to create something magical, so that when shoppers came into the city centre that would get a beautiful experience of all things Christmas.
"This partnership with the Goddard’s Centre allows us to do that. We even have some market vendors joining us selling beautiful handmade soaps, bath bombs and candles and delicious hand-made truffles and art. There is truly something for everyone.”
Sally says the exhibition is a visual and sensory overload for children and adults alike.
“Come and see myths, legends and Christmas traditions display through digital and tactile displays… you can even have a snowball fight while you are there! It’s our Downtown Tauranga, Goddard’s Centre treat for the city centre and we hope everyone will love it."
Santa’s Wonderland is open in the Goddard’s Centre 10am – 4pm daily between Monday to Saturday right up to December 23rd. Santa will also be there on Saturday’s 11.30am – 2pm and daily in the week leading up to Christmas.
