Truck breakdown causes delays on SH2

Posted at 5:09pm Thursday 11 Jan, 2018

Traffic is believed to be queued back to Te Puna. File photo.

Tauranga City Council advises traffic delays are likely on State Highway 2 after a truck breakdown.

A truck has broken down at the Bethlehem roundabout and is blocking one of the city-bound lanes, says the council in a statement.

"A queue of traffic is stretching back towards Te Puna. People driving from Te Puna will take a lot longer than usual to get through the Bethlehem area.

"Please be patient or delay your trip if possible until the backlog clears."
