Woman killed by fallen tree named

The woman died after a tree fell on her car in the Bay of Plenty has been officially named.
Trisha Butterworth died a tree fell on her car on Amohia Street, Rotorua, on January 5.
Police say Trisha was a 56-year-old woman from Rotorua.
“Police extends their sympathies to her family during this tragic time.
“Police continue to make enquiries on behalf of the Coroner.”
Trisha died after a 150-year-old oak tree fell on her car during a storm on Friday.
In a statement released after her dead, Rotorua Lakes Council acting chief executive Craig Tariana said a local tree specialist had raised concerns about it in recent months.
As a result, the council had inspected the tree and bracing on it was replaced, and some branches were cut.
The tree is listed as a notable tree, and was planted in the early 1880s by Reverend Frederick Spencer.
