A sea of pink invaded the Tauranga CBD overnight, as thousands of people turned out for the annual Hot Pink Walk.
Roughly, 200 women who are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in the Bay of Plenty.
The 3km Hot Pink Walk is in support of those women, and others around the country battling breast cancer.
Fiona McAllister is a member of a local support group and says as an organisation, “we pride ourselves on the fact that our support is local and it is women supporting other women who have had breast cancer, and their families”.
“We have a room at Christopher St where people can get fellowship, meetings and help.
“We hope lots of people come out for the hot pink walk,” says Fiona.
