Water warning in Pyes Pa

Posted at 7:41am Thursday 31 Aug, 2017

High PH levels in the water supply in the Lakes and Pyes Pa has seen the Tauranga City Council issue a water warning.

The high PH levels means the water may feel a bit soapy and could make your skin or mouth feel irritated.

“If at all possible please do not use the water for the next few hours,” says a statement from the council.

“We have isolated the water supply to other areas of the city, so this only affects Pyes Pa and The Lakes.”

The Lakes and Pyes Pa supply is being flushed clear to remove the high-PH water.

“We will issue an update as soon as the system is back to normal.

“If you have any health concerns please contact your doctor.”

Award winning water?

Hmmm so how does that work? I guess that the award was based on what Council said (hypoed up and some) ratehr than the truth, is this just another drama over stated situation?

Not like the old days when we broke the ice off and dipped the billy in the creek while mum split the kindling.Shit happens. Water off for a couple of hours while we sort out a random glitch, and it's the end of the world with heads rolling in all directions. Jeeezzz, get a life. See the Sunlive article last week about all the professional work that goes into city water. It's the old story folks - they remember all your mistakes but none of your achievements.

Unacceptable

In this day and age of top class monitoring technology it is totally unacceptable that this type of serious failure should occur.TCC you are dealing with the health of thousands of consumers and events like this should never happen. The reason for this serious failure should be established and immediate action taken to prevent a recurrence. If it was caused by human error , heads should roll.

here we go again

Flushing the pipes make NO difference, you need to put, a big brush through to clean them like in a Cowshed, COLD WATER does not move the fat,BUT hang on , TCC said they have spent $$$millions on upgrading, and has the best treatment facilities ,Come on yeah right, they have wobbly footpaths there and now a water problem, it will never end, and it says a statement by council not to use it, but is not signed by who made it,my thoughts only on this,Come on SUNLIVE being No1 is BEST and being the BEST is AWESOME, Thnkyou,10-4 out, phew.

How, why ...

Curious, are we allowed to know how, why we have high PH levels?
