Today is a two-clothing-layer day with a high of 16 and an overnight low of 8 degrees forecast.

Cloud will be increasing along with light winds and we're expecting rain to arrive on Wednesday.

This day in NZ history 30 years ago in 1987 Te reo Māori was recognised as an official language of New Zealand.
